Position summary:
Managing a sub 20 headcount broadcast engineering & technology department for this West London based broadcaster.
A focus of the role is developing the structure of the department by ensuring that effective processes & procedures are in place across staffing, support, plus the planning & implementation of projects.
You will act as a sponsor in developing very strong working relationships with both internal & external contacts, and will use your technical expertise to influence & guide the team.
Candidate Profile:
Candidates are most likely to have experience of managing, supervising or leading a broadcast engineering team, with experience of the rostering of staff including leave approval, sourcing freelance cover, identifying training requirements and conducting performance reviews .
You should be a natural leader who inspires a leads the team.
Domain experience should ideally include live news or sports, production or possibly OB. Technical experience should cover traditional & IT based television broadcast technologies.
Knowledge of Avid storage & editing products and/or EVS disk storage & event logging systems are considered a bonus.
