Edit Assist Supervisor (MCR Supervisor)

We are looking for an experienced MCR Supervisor to join the Edit Assist team at eg+ Worldwide London.

eg+ worldwide is Omnicom Group's global implementation agency who provide content creation, marketing and production for some of the worlds most iconic brands.

We work across a wide range of high profile clients including Amazon, Lloyds Banking Group, O2, Sony, Three Mobile, Intel, British Gas and Bacardi to name but a few. We also work closely with our Omnicom partner creative agencies


The Role:

Working with the Head of Department you will supervise a team of five edit-assistants working alongside the Edit, Localisation, Audio and Design & Animation suites as well as delivering content with exceptionally high standards to various mediums.

 

All incoming media to the post department is QC’d and prepared in MCR and all deliverables whether they be broadcast or approval versions are created and sent by the MCR team.  Edit Assist is also responsible for small scale production shoots with our in-house kit and film studio, along with some of the smaller edit jobs.

 

The role also entails mentoring the edit-assistants and training the junior members in all aspects of their job. Assisting producers and editors on project briefs, creating & implementing workflows, and ensuring the correct media management procedures are adhered to.

 

The Candidate:

We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious individual with a passion for leading a team but can also be relied upon to manage their own time and meet deadlines when under pressure.

 

You should have:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience working in a similar MCR style environment, showing examples of supervising other team members.
  • Good communication, organisation and inter-personal skills are essential.
  • Competent computer skills, particularly on Mac.
  • A good knowledge of tapeless workflows, media management and experience of encoding to all common file formats.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience QC’ing TV commercials for transmission.
  • A keen eye for detail and proactive attitude.
  • A good knowledge of FCPX and the Adobe suite.
  • Previous production experience (Canon cameras, audio, lighting) is preferred but not essential.
  • Be keen to learn and further your technical, editing and videography abilities.

Details
This is a permanent position consisting of a 40 hour week, 9am - 6pm Monday – Friday with a lunch break, 26 days annual leave and an excellent employee benefit scheme.
