Your
use of grapevinejobs is subject to the following terms and
conditions, which you are deemed to accept each time you use the website:
Whilst we endeavour to maintain the high standard of this website and its continuity, and to correctly process any information or files submitted to the site, the internet is prone to occasional instability, and errors, omissions, interruptions of service and delays may occur at any time. We are not able to accept any liability arising from any such errors, omissions, interruptions or delays. Also please note we may vary the specification of this site from time to time without notice.
The information on this site is correct to the best of our knowledge. We cannot accept any liability arising from any inaccuracy or omission in any of the information on this site or any liability in respect of information on this site supplied by you, any other site user or any other person.
You may only use this site for lawful purposes when seeking employment or placing recruitment advertising relevant to the broadcast, film and music sectors.
You must not under any circumstances seek to undermine the security of the site or any information submitted to or available through it. You must not seek to access, alter or delete any information to which you do not have authorised access, take any action or use any device, routine or software to crash, delay, damage or otherwise interfere with the operation of this site or attempt to decipher, disassemble or modify any of the software, coding or information comprised in the site.
You are solely responsible for any information submitted by you to this site. You are responsible for ensuring that all information supplied by you is true, accurate, up-to-date and not misleading or likely to mislead or deceive and that it is not discriminatory, obscene, offensive, defamatory or otherwise illegal, unlawful or in breach of any applicable legislation, regulations, guidelines or codes of practice or the copyright, trade mark or other intellectual property rights of any person in any jurisdiction. You are also responsible for ensuring that all information, data and files are free of viruses or other routines or engines that may damage or interfere with any system or data prior to being submitted to this site. We reserve the right to remove any information supplied by you from the website at our sole discretion, at any time and for any reason without being required to give any explanation.
General: It’s our objective to protect the privacy of our clients and jobseekers to the highest level possible, given the nature of our business. For that reason, we collect and store the minimum data needed to provide all our services to employers and candidates, and we don’t do anything with that data except what’s required in the normal course of business. That’s to say, we don’t use any individual data for marketing, sales or research purposes. [But we do use aggregate statistics to prove our site is genuinely ‘live’ and that we have “real” users.]
Regarding ‘cookies’: like most other websites, we use cookies, which are small pieces of text (not any sort of executable programme) placed by our website on your device which allow us to recognise you, and customise our data presentation accordingly. For example, a candidate making a repeat visit to the site will see that job listings they have looked at previously are marked as “viewed”. Without cookies, all our processes would be more time consuming and less convenient. We don’t make any use of cookies other than to improve services to our users.
Employers: We collect sufficient company data to be able to issue VAT-rated invoices and beyond that, we don’t use this data for any other purpose.
Regarding job applications: When candidates apply for a role via grapevinejobs [as opposed to where we have directed applicants to your own recruitment site, where your own Privacy policies apply], the candidates permit their details to be sent to you solely in connection with their application for that specific position.
Candidates’ consent ends 60 days from the date your job ad last appears on grapevinejobs. If you wish to retain candidates’ details for longer, or if you want to use their details for other purposes, you MUST obtain the specific consent of the candidates. Failure to obtain this consent will breach candidates’ privacy rights.
Candidates: If you wish to apply for a job via grapevinejobs, or you want to subscribe to our (free) job alert service, then we ask you to ‘sign up’ with grapevinejobs. We require only your name, email address and a password (and in the case of job alerts, your preferred parameters for the jobs you want us to bring to your attention) – and we then use those details solely in connection with the services we supply to you. That’s to say, we don’t use any individual data for marketing, sales or research purposes. [But we do use aggregate statistics to prove our site is genuinely ‘live’ and that we have “real” users.]
When you apply for a job via grapevinejobs [vs. being directed to the advertiser’s own site and applying there, in which case that company’s privacy policies will apply], you agree to your details being sent to that advertiser solely in connection with your application for that specific position. We require all our advertisers to agree that they will hold this data for no longer than 60 days following the date the job ad last appeared on grapevinejobs, unless you consent otherwise.
If you have any questions, comments or complaints about how we manage the information we hold about you please get in touch with privacy@grapevinejobs.co.uk
If you make a complaint to us and you think we haven’t provided a satisfactory response, you can get in touch with the Information Commissioner at www.ico.org.uk.
The Advertiser shall pay grapevinejobs all amounts due in accordance with the grapevinejobs price list, as amended from time to time. The grapevinejobs price list is on the site. Unless express provision otherwise is made, all payments are due 30 days following receipt by the Advertiser of the invoice from grapevinejobs. Where the Advertiser is acting as agent on behalf of its client in connection with this Agreement, grapevinejobs reserves the right to claim direct from such client (and to hold Advertiser and its client jointly and severally liable for payment of) any amounts due and unpaid by the due date.
If the Advertiser fails to pay amounts due to grapevinejobs, grapevinejobs shall be entitled (without prejudice to any other right to remedy it may have) to: cancel or suspend any further publication of the Advertisement on the site; and charge the Advertiser interest on the amount due to grapevinejobs at the rate of 5% per cent per annum over the UK base interest rate then in force, from the date the payment became due until actual payment is made (irrespective of whether the date of payment is before or after any judgment or award in respect of the same).
