Position

We are looking to recruit a Content Protection Coordinator be seconded to work in the office/ remotely for a major studio within their subtitling, captioning and dubbing team.

Reporting to the Content Protection Senior Manager, the Content Protection Coordinator will work with the Sales & Legal teams to facilitate the delivery of review requests, document draft remarks and clients follow-ups.

This individual will coordinate with the licensee or licensee’s vendor(s) to ensure that the Technical Questionnaires are completed and submitted with the relevant information/documentation for technical review/assessment. They will be a conduit for communication between the Content Protection, Sales, and Legal teams, bringing people and teams together to best solve current issues, as well as having responsibility for the coordination, management, and delivery of the Content Protection drafts and evaluations assigned.

Areas of responsibility

  • Process owner: this individual is responsible for keeping the teams accountable and in line with the established delivery methodology and will support them in the removal of blockers.
  • Process requests from legal and commercial colleagues relating to all forms of television content distribution and acquisition within EMEA
  • Create and maintain detailed records within existing and new systems and ensure records are properly kept so that they can be easily referenced at any time by any team members
  • Support digital security testing and content protection technology/anti-piracy testing when required
  • Research into technologies and platforms with the objective of understanding how they impact the distribution and content security of our content
  • Maintain a good understanding of internal content protection policies and guidelines and be able to translate them into requirements to the relevant stakeholders
  • Pro-actively manage dependencies, overcome obstacles and achieve the best results against constraints
  • Ensure the quality of submitted client data, producing Team progress and metrics reports based on this information
  • Drive good practices around deliverable timeline estimation
  • Ensure information is flowing appropriately, observed, analyzed, and consumed by teams and used to improve delivery practices
  • Own relevant documentation surrounding support data, risk evaluation, and resource management
  • Deliver projects using the effective project management methodology, learning & iterating frequently

Requirements

Experience

  • Previous experience working as an intermediary between multi-discipline teams to produce timely and accurate results
  • Possess strong organizational skills paired closely with time management, taking into account their ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Should be fast, accurate, self-motivated learners, with the ability to question processes and procedures with respect to current or future applications
  • Should possess strong critical thinking skills with the ability to apply policy guidelines to new/unknown aspects of the business
  • Will possess superb communication skills, written and oral. The ability to interpret technical issues and provide support to their internal and global counterparts will be integral to this position
  • Should be proactive, diligent and evidenced ability to cultivate and maintain relationships
  • This position is targeted toward someone who is eager to learn and retain new skills as required supporting a continually changing technical environment.

Useful Skills to have

  • Understanding of DRM systems and security protocols is a bonus
  • Experience coding, reading/interacting with object-oriented code and/or software development will be extremely useful in this position
  • Previous administrative work
  • Familiarity with digital distribution platforms (such as IPTV, cable, satellite, mobile) as well as streaming technologies for video (such as Adobe FMS, Smooth Streaming, Apple HLS, etc)
