Creative Director - Contract Publishing
We are seeking a Creative Director to join our Contract Publishing division working on strikingly beautiful magazines and books for clients around the world.

Conde Nast's contract publishing division publishes a wide variety of strikingly beautiful magazines and books for clients around the world. Current and past clients include Swarovski, Deutsche Bank, Ferrari, K11 Musea/Adrian Cheng, Mandarin Oriental, and the governments of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Israel.

We are willing to consider flexible working hours and/or a four day week for this role.

About the Role
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Conceiving new publications
  • Develop the overall look and style of a publication
  • Determining how best to represent a concept visually
  • Acting as a hands-on art director designing every page, with assistance from designers as required
  • Where projects coincide with each other, appointing and overseeing other art directors as required
  • Communicating with clients and internal teams/editors
  • Overseeing the art team on a project basis (picture editor, design assistants when available)
  • Helping appoint stylists/fashion directors as required on a project basis.

About You
Essential Skills & Requirements:
  • An experienced, highly sophisticated and creative sense of design
  • A thorough understanding of photography, typography and printing techniques, from magazines to books
  • Talent for designing class-leading pages and to work with aesthetic typography
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with internal team and external clients
  • Excellent computer skills in relevant art and design software packages
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Highly motivated and well organised
  • A good eye for detail
  • The ability to respond to internal and external feedback.
