Superb opportunity to join the Royal Opera House as Senior Business Partnership Manager

The role will focus on cultivating new business partnerships and fundraising opportunities for the Royal Opera House, a registered charity.   


The Royal Opera House offers world-class opera, ballet, music and dance live on stage at their iconic theatre in Covent Garden and through a variety of digital media, including live streaming to cinemas around the world.


To identify, cultivate and secure new business partnerships and fundraising opportunities for the organisation; securing and stewarding funding from corporate partners.

Key Responsibilities -  

  • Manage and extend a portfolio of client relationships to create business growth whilst developing new opportunities for corporate support including licensing
  • Review the current practice and strategy for business partnerships and if necessary, adjust in order to maximise value
  • Develop new products and services to support growth
  • Instigate and conduct negotiations with companies in the creation of strategic projects
  • Incorporate best practice, including use of metrics, in the design and delivery of each client programme
  • Lead a number of direct reports, encouraging a culture of high performance and excellent service


With extensive experience in identifying, cultivating and managing business partnerships in a fundraising environment, you will have a good understanding of the full marketing mix including digital.

A credible ambassador for the Royal Opera House, you will be working at a senior level, building strong commercial partnerships and draw on creativity and problem solving to deliver bespoke packages. You will also have the ability to conduct strategic reviews and contribute to strategic planning.

With experience of managing people, you will be confident at leading and coaching direct reports; you will lead by example in managing your own learning and continuous professional development relevant to the role.

An interest in learning more about the work of the Royal Opera House, and the art forms of opera and ballet will support you in this role.
