The Company

Our client is a major broadcasting company with a range of highly popular brands reaching millions of homes in the UK and Ireland as well as a vast library of innovative content distributed across many platforms.


The Role

The client is looking for a very senior leader, with well established strategic/commercial partnerships experience to extend existing and developing new content distribution partners for pay and free platforms in the UK.


The role encompasses commercial negotiation, platform & competitor analysis, commercial options analysis and financial modelling, stakeholder management, pitch preparation, presentation and commercial proposal creation.


You will manage commercial content distribution partnerships on a day-to-day basis and maintain strong working relationships with all major Pay TV and Free TV platforms and have full accountability for management of smaller cable and IPTV channel distribution partners.

The Candidate

The client is looking for a strategically-minded and commercially astute professional with senior level, extensive Distribution Sales experience. A superb deal-maker, this individual will have recent or current experience with pay contracts and Free to Air organisations. They will be supremely confident and highly experienced in negotiation and managing working relationships.


Likely to be working for a broadcaster/content owner (although may come from the platform side), you will have strong and well-respected leadership abilities, along with being highly adaptive and collaborative within a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will need a thorough understanding of the dynamics at play in the UK market and be a keen observer of these developments.

  • Proven executive level written and oral communication skills
  • Experience managing, coaching and developing a team
  • Exceptional analytical skills and business acumen
  • Excellent communication and influencing ability
  • Passionate follower of developments in broadcast media industry and parallel industries
  • Ability to project manage actual and potential contractual transactions
  • Adept at scenario/strategic/tactical analysis and fluency with financial modelling.
