Footage Research and Sales Executive
An exciting opportunity to run a dynamic and well-known footage library of top international factual content.

The Company

Journeyman Pictures is one of the UK’s leading global distributors of international feature and TV documentaries, news reports and footage.

We represent some of the world’s top independent documentary producers, as well as major TV channels such as Al Jazeera, PBS and ABC Australia.

Our footage department supplies archive to major international production houses, advertising agencies, charities, museums and more. Our archive has appeared in numerous well-known feature films and TV programmes around the world.

The Role

The role is diverse, including extensive archive research in our large library of content, handling client enquiries, managing and negotiating sales and licenses, as well as some basic technical work, preparing and delivering master materials to clients and preparing new clip content for our footage website.

Working with an archive that is being updated every week with fresh international content, and dealing directly with the industry’s top players, it is an exciting and dynamic position!

The ideal Candidate

An interest in international affairs and a good eye for detail are key to succeeding in this role.

You will also need very strong research skills in order to dig out the perfect shots from a large archive of content.

What we’re looking for is someone with excellent organisational skills, who enjoys working as part of a team but is also a self-starter who can manage their own agendas. You must be able to multi-task, handle pressure and work to tight deadlines when necessary.

Full training will be given, so previous experience isn’t essential if you can demonstrate the relevant transferable skills.
