Reporting to the Vendor Manager, you will be tasked with finding, testing and on-boarding the best suppliers from around the world.

Job overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a recent graduate in Translation or a similar degree, who is keen to acquire experience and build a career in the procurement sector of the localisation industry. 


Reporting to the Vendor Manager, the Vendor Coordinator will be tasked with finding, testing and onboarding the best suppliers from around the world, so we can provide high-quality localisation services to a growing number of clients.

 

The ideal candidate should have a high standard of written and spoken English, be able to adapt to the changing demands of the fast-paced environment, have excellent attention to detail and communicate effectively with different cultures on a daily basis. 

Duties and responsibilities involve all standard aspects of building, managing and maintaining the company’s resources in an organised and efficient way

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Vendor Manager in the search, selection and recruitment of new vendors, both in the UK and abroad, and ensuring the best resource choices are available for our Production teams
  • Organising vendor testing and test evaluation (coordinating the linguistic and technical checks required, both internal and external), and providing feedback to the vendor in a timely manner
  • Ensuring vendor data is updated in our systems and that all relevant legal documentation is in place
  • Supporting the Production teams in sourcing vendors or additional voice samples for specific projects
  • Developing and maintaining good relationships with external vendors 
  • Negotiating and maintaining competitive terms with external vendors including voice-over artists   
  • Complying with the company’s Quality Management System relating to Vendor Management
  • Providing ad-hoc administrative support to the Vendor Manager and other areas, as required.


Candidate profile:
Essential skills and experience:

  • University degree, preferably in Translation, Audio-visual Translation or related discipline 
  • 1 year's relevant vendor management experience in a translation / localisation environment, an advantage 
  • Experience in interviewing / recruitment, an advantage 
  • Business background and experience in subtitling and voice-over, an advantage   
  • Ability to clearly and accurately plan, record and summarise project information 
  • Excellent written and spoken English with outstanding communication skills
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well independently, under pressure and in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong knowledge of standard MS Office programmes.
