Account Manager
The Account Manager will primarily manage a portfolio of Playout, TV Distribution and Multi-Platform customer accounts, consisting of some of the world’s largest international broadcasters.

About the Role:

The Account Manager will be responsible for all aspects of Encompass’ relationships with its customers from their overall satisfaction, to contract retention and growth.  


Day-to-day duties involve problem solving, liaising between customers and internal departments, negotiating with external suppliers, relaying costs to customers and closing deals. 


The role will also involve a degree of administration, including record maintenance and report production (both internally and externally).  


The successful applicant will also be required to assist the senior management team in analysis of the market and future strategy development and also to visit customers in the UK and abroad, and attend international conferences and events both alone and as part of the Encompass Sales team.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Manage the development of relationships with customer’s organisations
  • Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of customer’s businesses, products and competitors
  • Manage all financial aspects of customer accounts including budgets and forecasts
  • Maintain a high and frequent level of contact with customers at all levels throughout their organisation
  • Protect revenues and develop and implement strategies for future profitable business growth opportunities
  • Lead communication with customers in the event of major incidents and incident resolution/follow up
  • Facilitate ‘virtual teams’ across Encompass, the customer and partners to deliver projects/improvement initiatives
  • Responsible for contract negotiations
  • Negotiating with suppliers
  • Preparing proposals and quotations

         Maintain contact plans between customers and Encompass

  • Service set up / launch management
  • Creation of customer contracts, letters of intent and addendums
  • Point of contact for day-to-day customer enquiries
  • Upkeep of records within the CRM tool
  • Attendance and minute taking at meetings as required
  • Involvement in measuring customer satisfaction
  • Positive promotion of the Encompass business within customer’s organisations
  • Identify potential sales opportunities and market intelligence
  • Management of Account Development Plans

 

Required Attributes: 

The Account Manger should have a good working knowledge of the Media Industry. 


They should also:

  • Be familiar with TV Playout and the distribution of content via traditional methods such as satellite and novel technologies involving the internet
  • Understand the role played by national and international broadcast organisations, their aspirations and future strategy
  • Be able to form strong, long-lasting relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders
  • Be enthusiastic about the broadcast industry and be aware of its technology trends and future direction.
