Lead Broadcast Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Lead Broadcast Engineer to work with BT Sport at their award-winning broadcast facility in Stratford.


The facility includes 4x HD studios, 9x HD and 1x UHD galleries, a large post-production village, a multi-channel MCR, and live playout operation.

About the Role

This is truly an exciting time to join us at Timeline Television, we are continuing to expand and working on some of the most exhilarating and innovative projects in Broadcasting.


We are now looking for an additional Lead Broadcast Engineer to manage our Stratford-based broadcast engineering team.  We are seeking an approachable and a pro-active manager who is an effective communicator at all levels.  We will also consider someone who is ready to take their first step into line management of a broadcast engineering team.

 

About You

Key Skills & Experience:

You will have an excellent track record in broadcast engineering with technical knowledge across many of the following areas: live studios (cameras, vision mixers and routers), Outside Broadcasts and MCR operations. Knowledge of Broadcast IP and studio augmented reality (AR) systems would be advantageous. You will have the ability to produce excellent technical documentation for a variety of end users using CAD and Microsoft applications, and also be able to advise on purchasing equipment, workflows and processes to suit client needs.

 

Located in vibrant Here East, with canal side restaurants and bars on its doorstep, a free onsite gym and a subsidised restaurant for staff. You will get the chance to work on a variety of sports and entertainment programmes at the BT Studios facility. These include BT Sport’s core programmes such as the UEFA Champions League and Rugby Tonight as well many external productions such as the BBC NFL Show and Dave Gorman Terms and Conditions Comedy show.
