Head of Content Operations/Live Streaming

Role overview:

As part of their growth, one of the largest owners of sporting rights are looking for a Head of Content Operations and Live Streaming, to support 3 of their facilities across London.

This business division is underpinned by a unique custom build technology platform serving 1000s of streams to a global customer base.

The Head of Content Ops is a new role responsible for leading this emerging area of the business as it continues to undergo rapid growth, focusing on continued availability of services from content acquisition to distribution. With significant input into technology deployment and operational staffing of the unit.


  • Building, growing and maintaining complex media delivery workflows for a range of different customers
  • Managing multiple teams of 60+ employee’s deployed across the business 
  • Establish contacts and relationships within the rights owners to help them define their needs and by extension help the business define the product and service offering
  • Assist in the general management of the new business area reporting directly to the Chief Product Manager and EMEA General Manager
  • Maintain incident and delivery management capabilities, process, workflow and operating models changes documented, and constant training initiatives active. 

Experience required:

  • 7+ years' experience of Live Streaming/Content Delivery
  • 7+ years' experience of coordinating live operations
  • 5+ years' leadership experience
  • Sport and overall media knowledge .

Key Deliverables:

  • Service Level track record
  • Data tracking for both existing and new customers
  • Successful integration with the wider business
  • Budgeting and cost tracking
  • Incident and delivery reporting.


Due to the nature of this environment, the role would be office based but with some flexibility required to work in a 24/7 environment (Evenings and weekends). Frequent commuting and occasional international travel included. 

Our client is offering a package of circa £70k for this position - depending on experience.
