Head of Digital Products
In this role, you will manage the Digital Products team and coordinate the cross-functional teams in charge of implementing and administering these products.

Main missions :

  • You will be in charge of  Euronews and Africanews digital products (creation, maintenance and launch of Euronews & Africanews digital products, management of all the existing offers and partners aimed at receiving and bringing out Euronews and Africanews editorial production and other departments requests) ensuring consistency with market expectations and compliance with the strategy of the company
  • You will report to the Chief Operating Officer.


1. The definition of the Digital Products strategy in cooperation with the Chief Operating Officer

2. The management of a digital products portfolio (14 multilingual websites, mobile apps, newsletters, tech and business partners) with his/her team.

  • Supervision of the products portfolio elaborated with the team and the company’s management, and communication medium aimed at the sales, partnerships and distribution departments
  • Analysis of the quality and the performance of the existing products:
    • Definition and evaluation of key performance indicators (traffic or number of users, advertising revenues), characteristics contributing to the performance: product ergonomics, content setting, quality and reactivity of that content
    • Implementation and evolution of tools and means aimed at collecting necessary information (launch of surveys, human resources assignment, technical evolutions of platforms, sales team feedback …)
    • Positioning against the competition, technological and competitors monitoring.

3. Launch of new products and evolution of existing products in line with the company’s strategy and the market and user’s needs:

  • Identify new opportunities and launch of new products with potential clients (syndication websites, Out of Home, B2B partners, end users and B2C…)
  • New products’ design and study for functional feasibility
  • Validation of functional specifications in cooperation with the multimedia Editor-in-Chief and the revenue management
  • Coordination of cross-functional internal and external suppliers in charge of the realization of new products or the evolution of internal products
  • Responsible for following up the developments operated by the SDD department after writing the functional specifications
  • Identify and select the most efficient suppliers to elaborate and ensure the development of products according to the required specifications (examples: data suppliers, content providers, SEO & referencing, user feedback)
  • Responsible for following up on the quality of the realization within allocated budgets and delivery deadline.
  • Internal cross-process elaboration (involving the sales, distribution and editorial departments among others).

4. Managing the Digital Products department:

  • Management of a cross-functional and multicultural team
  • Overall organization and coordination of the team’s work
  • Team’s organization and structuration: participation in recruitment, elaborating and following up of the training plan, competency-based interviewing, organizing department meetings, participation in the decisions regarding gratifications and sanctions
  • Responsible for welcoming, training and following up on newcomers
  • Elaboration of work process, communication to the team and monitoring of application
  • Close coordination and cooperation with Euronews key stakeholders: Editorial, Sales and Digital Sales Team, Marketing, Social media department
  • Budget management
  • Weekly reporting to the Operating and General Management.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Minimum 5 years in the Web industry and/or digital products management.
  • Educational background: bachelor degree with a specialization in Webmarketing, completed with a master in Webmarketing 
  • Experience in an interactive agency appreciated
  • Very good knowledge of the digital sector, updated constantly
  • Good knowledge of the media sector and the News business
  • Strong knowledge of managing methods and project management
  • Analytical and synthetic mindset
