THE COMPANY

 

Our client is a successful international animation studio.

 

THE ROLE

 

In this role you will be responsible for setting the overall strategy to expand the company’s pre-school animation properties and bring on-board new ideas/projects.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the company’s portfolio of pre-school titles (age 2-6) to meet the global market’s demands
  • Develop the concept, format, look and style of new and existing animation properties for the international market (alongside the creative team)
  • Secure and Develop new IP (either existing personal projects or optioning shows from creators looking for creative partners)  
  • Pitch properties to commissioners, and other stakeholders with the goal to greenlight the projects for production and distribution
  • Manage and oversee development, pre-production and production of shows
  • Work and manage the in-house team’s development schedule and slate.

 

The position is offered as a 6 month contract, 3 days per week for the moment. However there is the potential for extension, depending on commissioner interest in current and newly developed shows.

 

 THE PERSON:

 

With a keen eye for what works in the UK and internationally for preschool animation, you must have a passion for creating unique characters and appealing stories for young viewers globally.

 

You should possess a proven track record of developing and producing children’s animated shows, and have established networks of partners and talent.
