Business Affairs Executive

Drive is looking for a part-time junior-level Business Affairs Executive to join our growing business.

You will provide Business Affairs and some administrative support to our sales team.

THE ROLE

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Drafting and reviewing TV licence agreements and distribution agreements
  • Providing advice relating to rights matters for both TV and digital distribution worldwide
  • Inputting into the rights management database system
  • Working closely with the Sales and Acquisitions teams on programme licensing negotiations and format and programme acquisitions
  • Dealing with anti-piracy issues
  • Providing general assistance and support to the senior management in relation to any legal issues arising from all forms company business
  • Liaising with sales team over clearance issues and commercial deal terms and providing such assistance or as is necessary when negotiating deals with potential third party licensees.

  

PERSON PROFILE

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate personal drive to help the company achieve its goals and objectives.  


They must  also have:

  • 1-2 years' background in legal / rights management areas of TV/new media distribution
  • Experience of working with a rights database
  • Excellent drafting skills, and experience of drafting agreements, reviewing and negotiating the acquisition and sales of programme rights from third party producers
  • Ability to cope with a high volume of workload, under time pressure
  • Ability to work autonomously and be a team player
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Eligible to work in UK.


Experience of drafting and finalising format sales agreements a bonus, but not essential
