VP, Health & Safety
The successful candidate will drive global compliance of statutory requirements, advise and apply industry best practices for corresponding territories, and develop group policy and procedures to maintain a safe, secure, and thoughtful work environment for staff at Endeavor.

Key Accountabilities


  • Develop and direct short-term and long-term H&S organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operational procedures.

  • Continuously monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), evaluate the effectiveness of efforts and initiatives, and develop and implement changes required for continual improvement.

  • To advance Endeavor’s H&S strategy, building a long-view framework to help guide the Company in addressing H&S issues, now and in the future.

  • Strategic Partner: support and deploy the Global Operations strategy across the operations globally including transformational activities as it pertains to the H&S function.

  • Keeping all Safety Management Groups and the relevant Heads of business areas informed of, and alert to, significant issues and initiatives that affect Endeavor and its subsidiaries.

  • Ensuring Endeavor’s policy is reviewed and updated to reflect up-to-date legislation, and relevant best practice.

  • Ensuring that Endeavor subsidiaries have access to appropriate sources of competent advice.

  • Organising reviews of health and safety performance or producing exception reports, and/or special reviews as required.

  • Providing an agreed level of assistance and support services to Endeavor business areas.


  • Own, develop, and iterate Company health and safety management systems, including health and safety policy documents, risk assessment strategies and accident reporting systems.

  • Participate in projects and initiatives to ensure compliance with statute legislation and group policy and procedure.

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with industry safety organizations, representatives and governmental regulatory agencies, as appropriate.

  • Manage the H&S team, overseeing delivery of analysis and reporting of health and safety performance against statutory requirements, with recommendation for action as necessary.

  • Support the continuous improvement of Company’s safety performance by pro-active, timely, risk-based advice.

  • Counsel business unit leaders in their; review of safety management practices, development of health and safety plans, hazard identification and control strategies.

  • Review health and safety systems, practices, risk assessments and provide practical, pragmatic, compliant advice.

  • Undertake planned H&S visits to business locations to review management of safety and application of arrangements.

  • Oversight of Occupational Health issues and solutions.

  • Oversight of compliance in buildings management, as well as First Aid and Fire Warden arrangements.

  • Participate in consultation with employees for complex H&S matters.

  • Provide guidance to managers in accident investigations.

  • Deal with local authorities and enforcement agencies when necessary.

  • Undertake vetting of health and safety performance of contractors.

  • Develop and assistance on the provision of health and safety training curriculum and manage change communication to drive adoption of learnings and practices.

  • Support and conduct Accident investigations.

  • Produce written guidance and policy where a need has been identified.

  • Advise on the selection of and the “prequalification” of competent contractors.

  • Advise on requirements and specifications of safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Proven experience of guiding diverse global organizations on H&S matters, strong history of development, implementation, and oversight of H&S initiatives, while embracing a flexible and pragmatic approach.
  • Demonstrable experience of direct people management.
  • Proven change management experience.
  • Knowledge of Regional, Federal, state and local health & safety and environmental regulations in NSA and EMEA (OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA,UK Gov HSE etc.).
  • Knowledge of Regional, Federal, state and local health & safety and environmental regulations in NSA and EMEA (OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA,UK Gov HSE etc.).
  • Practical, business-oriented approach to providing advice to internal clients on all related H&S matters.
  • Influential – able build rapport and influence on business decisions relating to H&S.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships.
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely with all key stakeholders and clients.
  • Ability to interact across different levels within the organisation.
  • Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Experience in a leadership capacity on a global operations team.
  • Ability to juggle and prioritise a varied and heavy workload with the ability to plan ahead.
  • Demonstrable ability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment, prioritise workflow and adjust to workload fluctuations.                   

Required Qualifications and Training:

  • Educated to A Level standard or equivalent

  • NEBOSH International Diploma or NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health.

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a permanent position and will be based in Chiswick Business Park, London.

  • Working hours are 9:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday.

  • Occasional long working hours may be required to meet business deadlines.

  • Occasional domestic and international travel will be required.
