The Role

Summary:
The company is scaling rapidly and we seek an experienced Marketing Manager with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong knowledge of the media and technology sectors to join us at this exciting time of growth, in a full-time staff position. 

This varied and challenging new role will encompass responsibility for all elements of the company’s marketing strategy development, implementation and management.

This role provides a fantastic opportunity for an aspirational Marketing professional, wishing to leverage their proven skills, track record, passion and entrepreneurial drive to help grow a rapidly-scaling business into the market leader in the media-focused cloud services market. 

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will line manage and mentor our in-house Marketing Executive, working in close collaboration with sales and engineering colleagues and our strategic technology vendor partners’ marketing teams.

Specific responsibilities:
  • Working with the Managing Director and responsible for:
  • Market segmentation 
  • Sales channel development: working in partnership with key reseller channels and technical vendors, notably including Adobe and IBM, to develop sales leads, create sales collateral and joint marketing materials.
  • Vendor partner development
  • Website content, editorial and management (including SEO optimisation)
  • Promotional materials, ad campaigns and PR
  • Editorial writing of blogs and PR content (in collaboration with third-party agencies and vendor partners)
  • Managing PR distribution and Analyst comms.

You will also line-manage a Marketing Executive and be responsible for leading:
  • Training, mentorship, and role development
  • Content direction and supervision of website design and updates
  • Senior management of events planning and organisation
  • Researching target market segments’ requirements
  • Contributing to product development priorities feedback.

About You

Essentials:
  • A confident self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, with fantastic communication skills who thrives in a small team
  • Motivated by a high degree of role autonomy
  • Minimum of 5 years in a marketing role with demonstrable achievements
  • Marketing qualification
  • Held a previous marketing role with a digital media sector, media technology vendor or media services company
  • Experience of managing channel sales partners.

Desirable:
  • Working knowledge of and key contacts in the media, video, or broadcast industries
  • Working knowledge of the Cloud or Software-as-a-Service products industries
  • Experience of working in small growing companies
  • Understanding of BASE Media Cloud’s key products/software applications will be a significant advantage (although other similar industry/product experience would be acceptable).
