HR Manager (Maternity Cover)

We are recruiting for an HR Manager which is an integral role working within one of the most creative and ambitious post-production houses in the industry.

Molinare is a film and broadcast post-production facility with over 48 years of experience and is now one of the most respected names in the industry, specialising in television drama, feature films, feature documentaries and broadcast factual.

Molinare began in 1973 with a small studio called Molinare Sound Services. Today, having expanded into the world of high-end broadcast and feature post-production, they are in an exciting position of strength and growth, providing the most creative and technically advanced services achievable.

Specialisms include grading and digital intermediate, sound, interactive, workflow management and international servicing.

About the role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a passionate HR Manager who wants to be part of a fantastic people-focused business and head up the HR Function. 

You will provide a responsive and effective HR support service and oversee 1 HR staff to ensure the organisation is compliant with employment legislation, best practices and regulatory guidelines.


The role will report directly to our CEO and will partner with our Executive and Operational Management team to help shape the wider business plan by providing practical HR support to help develop an environment that enables our colleagues to thrive.


  • Advise on employee relations issues including performance management, redundancy, disciplinary and grievances, TUPE, exits etc. by keeping abreast of developments in employment legislation and case law and ensuring that managers are appropriately briefed on relevant changes and new legislation
  • Build solid and trusted relationships with the Executive and Operations Management team. Advise and train on all people-related activities
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and retention by nurturing a positive working environment
  • Implement HR initiatives and support staff development by identifying training needs for teams and individuals
  • Monitor and report on workforce and succession planning
  • Talent mapping to understand the potential of their people and potential risk
  • Manage the external payroll system and pensions (ADP and Aviva)
  • Oversee our HR system to ensure it is kept up to date (Bamboo) with sickness, absence and general administration
  • Manage software licenses and renewals
  • Monthly board reports.

Skills and Experience Required

You must be passionate in all that you do, with the ability and willingness to collaborate. We’d also like you to possess:

  • Solid experience in an HR Generalist role, with the ability to hit the ground running
  • Excellent time management and High attention to detail (prides themselves on the accuracy of information)
  • Extreme flexibility to be proactive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Competence in making timely, effective, principles-based decisions
  • Relationship builder with the ability to prioritise tasks based on business needs
  • Comfortable with thinking outside the box and challenging the status quo
  • Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and practices
  • Experience working with an HRIS/HCM – ADP would be a strong advantage.
