THE COMPANY
Our client is one of
London’s newest and most innovative film studio campuses incorporating two of
the largest individual sound stages in the UK.
THE ROLE
The Operations
Director will lead the Studio Management Team to ensure the studios run
smoothly and that clients have an excellent on-site experience.
They will also liaise
directly with the Studio's global streaming company partner to ensure a highly positive
working experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the on-site Studio Management Team
- Liaise directly with a specific key client to
ensure they are satisfied with the facilities and services
- Liaise directly with productions overseeing the
negotiation of their studio hire contracts & ensuring they have
everything they need on site
- Manage the pipeline of third party leads to
fill gaps in occupancy
- Work closely with the Studio Management Team to
oversee the execution of ongoing maintenance, upgrade and improvements
works across the campus
- Help identify expansion & new revenue
opportunities for the Studio Group campus and make recommendations to the
company’s management team
- Be responsible for studio campus PR regularly
engaging with the media, film industry bodies & key contacts across
major production companies
- Liaise directly with landlords on regular
inspections and protocol, and maintain positive relations
- Manage operational expenditure on site to
ensure delivery of first-class service whilst achieving optimum
profitability
As the company continues to explore future opportunities you will also:
- Provide insight and feedback during scoping and
feasibility and consequently planning and construction, advising on
specification
- Liaise with key contacts from major production
companies to spread the word about any new site once development is underway.
THE PERSON
With extensive
experience in studio management gained from working in a similar role elsewhere
you will be skilled at managing senior-level client relationships.
You will have deep
understanding of what facilities and services are required in order to maximise
client satisfaction and be experienced at overseeing the delivery of these.
Previous experience of
assessing, budgeting and delivering operational and technical upgrades within a
studio environment is important, as is the running of an operational P&L.
You should also
demonstrate strong leadership skills and previous experience of managing a
team.
