Post Production Operations Workflow Manager

The Operations Workflow Manager is an integral role in our mission to deliver exceptionally high standards of customer service. Working alongside another Post Production Operations ‘Resources’ Manager and closely with the sales, creative, engineering, production and senior management teams to ensure the business delivers and exceeds the high standards our clients have come to expect.

Someone who enjoys meeting with clients and staff, who enjoys designing, and improving on workflows to the benefit of clients and staff alike. In order to succeed in the role, you will need to be highly organised, experienced in Post Production systems and workflows, approachable, process driven and an excellent communicator

Specific responsibilities fall into the following areas:

  • Pre Sales workflow consultancy. Assisting the sales team and their clients during the quoting process, as well as with returning clients. Proposing and presenting well structured workflows that deliver value and time efficiency
  • Post Sales workflow consultancy and management. Be the main point of contact in relation to all workflow needs for confirmed projects. Communicating these effectively to clients and all internal departments
  • Designing effective internal workflows that span across all areas of the Technical Operation including: data I/O inc. archive management and storage management, edit support, finishing post and mastering workflows maintaining a focus on quality control and efficiency
  • Publishing supporting reference materials for the internal Operations teams to maintain high service levels and identify any training needs. You will work collaboratively with the Operations Manager and Post Producers to deliver consistently high quality materials
  • Workflow testing. Develop new workflows that meet and exceed the commercial demands of the business. Working with internal departments to utilise existing infrastructure to maximise workflow efficiencies. Making recommendations on new technology or resources that would have commercial benefit to the business
  • Project setup management. Working alongside the Operations Manager and other Technical Supervisors to setup new projects. Ensuring that storage allocations are in place and sufficient workflow documentation
  • Be a main point of escalation when projects experience problems. Liaising with clients and staff to gather symptomatic information that will lead to an effective diagnosis of problem. Clearly communicating to all parties involved every step of the way
  • Work alongside the Operations Manager, the Technical Supervisors, Head of Deliverables and Post producer teams to oversee the management of the various tiers of media storage. Delivering regular reports for accurate billing. Ensuring that the business has the necessary storage resources available at all times.
  • Working alongside the Operations Manager, utilising all available resources to deliver an exceptional standard of Technical Operator training
  • Be a main point of contact for third party workflow related services. Working with suppliers to ensure that the services we offer are efficient, effective, and commercially valuable. Make informed recommendations on other 3rd party services that will add commercial value to the business. Be a point of escalation when those services have problems.         

From time to time you may be required to attend industry events and represent the company.


The successful candidate will need the following technical qualifications and experience:


  • Experience of managing operations within a busy post production facility
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in post-production in a managerial capacity
  • Experience with designing effective workflows for Avid Media Composer, ProTools, Colour grading systems and QAR and mastering systems
  • Experience managing demanding workload schedules
  • A excellent working knowledge of current post-production equipment and maintenance processes
  • A good practical knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good numeracy, literacy and writing skills.


  • Experience with scheduling systems preferably ScheduALL
  • Experience with Baselight, Da Vinci Resolve and other Post production systems
  • Background experience with broadcast and/or HETV deliverables and subsequent QAR processes
  • Knowledge of relevant hardware/software
  • IT support and networking experience.


Remuneration will be competitive - and dependent on experience.
