Head of Media Supply Chain Operations [C5837]

This is a global role working with teams in London and LA. 

THE COMPANY


Our client is a highly successful producer and distributor of global drama and film, factual and entertainment.  


THE ROLE


As Head of Media Supply Chain Operations, you will be responsible for implementing an efficient end-to-end content delivery process across all areas within the Commercial and International division globally (content acquisition, content storage, content prep & delivery, and metadata management)


Key responsibilities:

  • Work with multiple teams across the global business to design and implement a streamlined supply chain and associated processes 
  • Work with technical teams to identify the tools and systems required to effectively deliver the supply chain
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimisation in the supply chain
  • Develop a reporting framework and associated KPIs to demonstrate the effectiveness of the end-to-end supply chain, including quality control, time measurement and cost tracking
  • Identify and asses risks within the supply chain, and develop and implement mitigation strategies. 


The role will be based in London with regular trips to LA.


THE PERSON 


As a senior leader within a media organisation, you will have an advanced knowledge of modern media workflows. You will demonstrate the ability to interpret individual and organisational needs and translate them into process maps and technical requirements.


With a strong strategic mindset, you’ll be comfortable prioritizing competing business requirements and influencing senior executives across the global business.


You will be used to making the customer experience a top priority and ensuring processes create the best possible sales experience.


Previous experience in cloud media processing, deliveries, rights and metadata management, including knowledge of the vendor landscape is important, as is a deep understanding of content preparation techniques, such as ad-break insertion, compliance editing and transcoding. 


Lastly, you will need the ability to build reports in Excel and/or PowerBI.
