Director - London – Data and Analytics

As a Director, you'll be at the helm of the company's media division, driving the development and success of cutting-edge research products. Engage with top-tier clients and prospects, showcasing your expertise in sales meetings and delivering captivating research presentations to senior stakeholders.

The Role

The successful candidate will lead the division, managing the product leads responsible for the development and success of its TV and film-focused research products. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with product leads to identify areas of innovation and develop business plans for new or expanded products to propose to the executive team. 
  • Assist the product leads in thinking through product management decisions – around data structures, the balance of time the teams spend on different tasks, and how information on project progress is collected and disseminated across the business. 
  • Support the sales process by identifying new ways data could be used to support different client functions and roles. 
  • Work with the product leads and editorial team to ensure that report output is aligned with client interests, pitched at the right level and set at the appropriate volume. 
  • Liaise at a high level with clients and prospects, supporting sales meetings and product pitches to senior stakeholders, and deliver research presentations to key groups. 
  • Coordinate with the consulting team on custom research and advisory proposals and projects.  

The Candidate

Prior experience in a commercial strategy or data-centric operational role, in or around the media sector is essential for this position. 

Knowledge of the issues and challenges inherent with dealing with the commercial applications of different types of data, combined with a background in managing analysis processes, or coordinating with research teams will be an advantage. 

Strong presentation and client-facing skills are a must, with exceptional communication skills at all levels. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and management skills, ensuring they are someone to whom product leads can turn for support and guidance.

Finally, you must possess strong business and leadership skills, coupled with a genuine passion for the industry and the importance of data.
