Head of Gaming Business Development [G5860]

This role would be ideal for a high-achieving and experienced business development manager within gaming. 

THE COMPANY


Our client is a highly regarded international creative agency which produces outstanding original 360 marketing campaigns for major brands in the entertainment industry. The company is now keen to bring its unique skills to video games marketing.


THE ROLE


As Head of Business Development, you’ll be responsible for establishing the company’s proposition and presence within video games, focusing on developing clients through a new business drive.


Key responsibilities:


  • Run client research and outreach activities across all channels in order to build a clear business development strategy
  • Create bespoke promotions, attend events and international trade shows
  • Present to clients, take briefs, work with the team to deliver pitches and projects
  • Manage clients through projects to ensure great service
  • Set up and manage social media channels, marketing collateral, videos, showreels etc.
  • Forecast and manage a quarterly business development department budget
  • Lead cross-departmental business development meetings to harness and manage collective leads, opportunities, intelligence and contacts
  • Hire and manage junior team members setting targets and overseeing their duties
  • Attend management meetings to report on the Video games division sales and marketing plan


THE PERSON 


As a high achieving, confident self-starter, you will be genuinely excited at the opportunity to establish and build a video games division within this award-winning agency.


You will have a track record in business development, a strong network of contacts within gaming companies and freelancers, and an in-depth knowledge of and interest in game culture.


With the skills and tenacity to build a pipeline, you will be an expert at managing client relationships and selling in and delivering great creative services.


A strong understanding of creative communications and client needs, underpinned with the skill to successfully pitch creative proposals is essential for this role.
