Licensing Manager

We’re looking for a Licensing Manager to join our CONTENTbible team (sitting within our Studios arm) for a 9 month fixed term contract. 

This is a business development-led role where you will be expected to proactively seek new licensing opportunities for the business.

The ideal candidate should be a business-savvy, sales-focussed individual that is willing to roll up their sleeves and work hard in a fast paced and dynamic environment.


What will you be doing?

  • Drive profitability through the negotiation of improved commercial terms with licensing partners
  • You will be responsible for identifying prospective clients and forming new commercial licensing partnerships with the aim of increasing licensing revenue for the department
  • You will form strong relationships with prospective new clients and support their licensing needs to ensure smooth partnerships and a high quality of service is maintained
  • You will support our licensing team as required, including (but not limited to) any complex licensing deals and help them to identify and lead on strategic licensing opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate, useful and regular reporting to our COO.


We're looking for a proactive individual with substantial experience within a publisher or content licensing environment. You'll demonstrate commercial acumen, great negotiation skills and a strong entrepreneurial approach.

  • Approachable, personable, articulate, and professional
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to easily build relationships with others
  • Impeccable communications skills, including in person, via email and over the phone
  • Previous experience managing a team with several direct reports
  • A deep understanding of UGC and digital media. The candidate should also have a solid understanding and experience in IP, licensing and have a passion for content and a strong interest and understanding of various social media platforms and trends
  • Experience dealing with content creators and influencers
  • Proven track record attaining or exceeding your quarterly and annual revenue goals and KPIs
  • Proven track record of successfully bringing in new business and looking after revenue lines
  • Strong existing relationships with clients across publisher, TV media and creative agency/brand sectors. Experience dealing with OTT, AVOD, SVOD and TVOD platforms will be a bonus
  • Familiarity with working in a Salesforce and metrics driven environment is an advantage
  • Personality profile to fit into a high-growth, entrepreneurial culture that requires teamwork and significant interaction with employees at all levels
  • Advanced knowledge of intellectual property rights, copyright, rights management, license agreements, talent and/or clearances, and rights negotiation preferred.
