successful film/TV company with a global presence, a healthy production
pipeline and a vast library of content.
THE ROLE
As Legal and Business
Affairs Executive, you will be responsible for drafting, negotiating and
revising a variety of agreements and documents in connection with content
creation and promotion.
Key responsibilities:
- Draft,
negotiate and review rights and development agreements; including
conducting chain of title review and turnaround agreements
- Review
and provide guidance to guilds, in regards to signatory processes with a
detailed understanding of collective bargaining agreements
- Handle
legal delivery of productions
- Conduct
the legal reviews of main/end titles and creative/related marketing
materials in connection with international productions and acquisitions.
- Supervise
the work of paralegals with support from other senior executives
- Review
and negotiation of clearances and music license agreements with clearance
companies/music supervisors
- Draft,
negotiate and review agreements and documents related to day to day
production work such as agreements for cast, crew, line producers and
more.
THE PERSON
With several years of
experience in legal production work preferably in-house, within a business
affairs/legal department or law firm, you will possess excellent skills in
drafting contracts and negotiating the best possible terms.
You must be able to
demonstrate an ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, meeting
deadlines promptly.
Legal training is
essential (University degree in Law – UK and/or US law)
Lastly, it would be
highly advantageous to have a good knowledge of French.
