Manager, Product Management (Broadcast Team, WhatsApp)

In this role, you'll be responsible for leading the Broadcast Product Management Team at WhatsApp. 

You'll be supporting the Broadcast Team, leading a talented group of PMs who are responsible for all broadcast products across WhatsApp.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of product managers and operate as “site manager” for the Growth & Broadcast Pillar in London

  • Support team through the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative products

  • Establish shared vision across the company by building consensus on strategies and priorities leading to product execution

  • Supports and motivates a team of product managers, engineers and other cross-functional representatives, and maintains team health.

  • Frequently identifies significant product, organizational, and process opportunities and drives them to fruition often without explicit direction and resourcing

  • Understand WhatsApp’s strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized as best in the industry

  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm

  • Manage multiple products and priorities, scale teams, and ensure the org is effective, healthy and set up for success by establishing clear and measurable goals

  • Move fast to drive alignment and execution – Turn high volumes of different actions into repeatable processes and playbooks, and get alignment within and across teams through both influence and framing clear escalations when team priorities conflict

  • Manage multiple products and priorities, scale teams, and ensure org is effective, healthy and set up for success by establishing clear and measurable goals – Collaborate, navigate and influence product teams across WhatsApp Consumer, Business, Privacy, Growth and GenAI and broader Meta organization (Instagram, Facebook)

  • Drive operational and analytical rigor – Drive internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions to reduce operational overhead, streamline decision-making and accelerate overall execution

  • Manage business reviews (e.g., weekly/monthly business reviews, functional reviews, and other key meetings, staff meetings, and all hands meetings.


Minimum Qualification:
  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management

  • 8+ years of experience working collaboratively with engineering, design and user research teams

  • 5+ years of experience hiring, managing, and developing both individual contributors and leaders

  • Willingness to execute on projects and drive individual work-streams/projects but also zoom out for team leaders to focus on the key decisions and sequence of deliverables

  • Experience driving change and improving end-to-end processes

  • Experience flourishing in an environment of fast growth and ambiguity

  • Experience influencing and building alignment with leadership through problem-solving, analytical skills and presentation skills

  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience

  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking and thought leadership

  • Experience defining what resourcing is needed to achieve those goals and effectively advocate for that.


Preferred Qualification:
  • 8+ years of experience developing social products, technologies and platforms.
