History Hit is on the look out for a Senior Producer to collaborate with teams, partners and talent in order to manage and develop a slate of successful history podcasts.

Based in the heart of Shoreditch, we are an award winning digital content studio and media network who are currently on a quest to find a Senior Producer to join our History Hit team. Is this your next opportunity?


As Senior Producer, you'll play a pivotal role in managing a slate of successful, history-focused podcasts. This collaborative role will include working with the Head of Podcasts, marketing and commercial partners and managing and developing a team through effective feedback. With a strong history knowledge, you will also find new talent/develop ideas and source the best, well-known and fascinating guests.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME

  • Managing a slate of successful podcasts and driving the development, planning and creation of content in the podcast teams
  • Taking editorial responsible for your podcasts
  • Working with the Head of Podcasts on department management
  • Collaborating with commercial partners and History Hit marketing and video teams 
  • Managing and developing a team of people via effective feedback
  • Managing team budget and coordinating resources in a busy production environment
  • Taking accountability for target achievement in audio and video
  • Finding new talent/develop ideas and sourcing the best, well-known and fascinating guests on a subject
  • Ensuring accuracy and quality under pressure.


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED 
Skills matter, experience is useful, attitude is everything. 
  • Demonstrable background of working in podcast production, and audio/video editing
  • Exposure to dealing with editorially difficult situations and a good knowledge of media and copyright law
  • Creativity to develop ideas and talent from start to finish
  • An understanding of diverse audiences and inclusivity, including viewpoints and stories that are traditionally underrepresented
  • Working with commercial partners and high profile talent
  • A knowledge of filmed podcasts and YouTube
  • People management experience
  • Awareness of trends and an understanding of the podcast industry
  • Demonstrable enthusiasm for History
