Head of Distribution - New Platforms

We are seeking an experienced Head of Distribution for a 12-month maternity cover to lead our partnerships with key Big Tech streaming partners (Amazon, Apple, Google, Samsung, LG etc). 

  • Contract Type: Fixed Term Full Time
  • Salary: £80000 - £95000
  • Workplace: White City, London (Hybrid working)

The role

This is a critical role responsible for managing and growing ITV's footprint across a portfolio of global digital platforms, including CTV, mobile, and console partners. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the digital media landscape, extensive experience of commercial negotiations and a proven track record of successful account management


Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management for Big Tech Partners:
    • Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with new and existing distribution partners to maximize reach and engagement for ITV content
    • Serve as the primary point of contact and strategic lead for a portfolio of major Big Tech partners (e.g., Apple, Amazon, Google, etc.) across the CTV, mobile, and console space
    • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within partner organisations
    • Work collaboratively with internal teams (e.g., legal, finance, marketing, product) to ensure effective execution of partnership agreements.


  • Strategic Growth & Business Development:
    • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities with existing and prospective partners to expand ITV's distribution footprint
    • Develop and execute strategic plans to increase audience engagement, content consumption, and commercial value across all platforms, working cross functionally where needed
    • Act as a subject matter expert for Distribution, working closely with the Policy & Regulatory team to navigate and shape industry changes
    • Represent ITV’s commercial interests at the strategic level for Freely, the IPTV platform run by PSB-joint venture Everyone ETV.


  • Performance tracking:
    • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across all partnerships
    • With support of the team, provide regular reporting and strategic insights to senior management on the performance of distribution partnerships
    • Maintain robust performance tracking with partners through regular Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).


  • Team Leadership & Management:
    • Manage two full-time employees (FTE), providing guidance, mentorship, and support for their growth and career development plans.


Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Extensive experience leading complex commercial contract negotiations within the media and entertainment landscape, particularly with global tech companies
  • Deep understanding of the digital media ecosystem, and keenly familiar with the challenges and opportunities within TV and streaming distribution
  • Experience managing and developing a team.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations
  • Proven track record managing communication with internal and external stakeholders up to C-suite level.
