Broadcast & Media Technology Director

We are looking for a new Broadcast & Media Technology Director who will strategically lead all our TV production, distribution and media innovation including on-board cameras for Formula E!

The Role:

The Broadcast & Media Technology Director is the strategic lead for all our TV production, distribution and media innovation including on-board cameras. This role is for someone who can seamlessly integrate complex technology and manage key suppliers to empower our content teams. You'll be responsible for ensuring our broadcast is a cohesive and high-quality experience that brings the excitement of electric racing to a global audience.

The key deliverables are:
  • Develop a Broadcast & Media Technology Strategy: Create and refine a detailed strategy for broadcast and media technology, including workflows, suppliers, and techniques
  • Manage Supplier Coordination: Ensure superior coordination among multiple technology suppliers to create an optimised and harmonious broadcast experience
  • Broadcast Facilities and Distribution: Streamline broadcast facilities and distribution systems to achieve maximum efficiency and quality
  • Manage Media Asset Systems: Own and streamline the Media Asset Management (MAM) systems to ensure the efficient storage, retrieval, and distribution of content
  • Build Stakeholder Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with onsite TV distribution, rights holders, and associated tech teams.

What we're looking for in you:

  • Strategic Project Management: You’re experienced at initiating, managing, and completing strategic broadcasting projects from start to finish, ensuring they’re delivered on time and within budget
  • Next-Gen Systems Experience: Extensive experience with modern broadcast facility management, distribution strategies, and media asset management (MAM) systems
  • Broadcast & Media Technology Leadership: proven ability to lead and manage technology in dynamic broadcast environments like live events and sports
  • Workflow Management Expertise: Proficiency in integrating and managing complex broadcast workflows with multiple technology and editorial suppliers.
