Digital Channel Editor - Junior-Level

Zodiak Kids is looking for a Junior-level Digital Channel Editor to support the Digital team in growing objectives across YouTube and other VOD platforms.


We're looking for someone with YouTube experience or similar CMS driven platforms and knowledge of reporting analytics from these platforms. 

About the Role:

Please note that this is initially a 9-month fixed term contract.

Duties include:
  • Assisting in the planning, production and delivery of all video content for YouTube and channel management partners from 150+ established titles in our portfolio;
  • Editing for our YouTube channels, brand specific channels, content partners and 3rd party platforms like Amazon Self-Publishing;
  • YouTube Creator Studio: responsible for inputting data, tagging and reviewing usage policies;
  • Liaising with internal (Sales, Digital, Legal, Operations) and external (Channel Managers, 3rd party acquisitions) teams to facilitate the timely delivery of YouTube and VOD platform content; 
  • Responsible for using, operating and troubleshooting the content ID system; 
  • Understanding of data analytics and the ability to report these to the YouTube Channel Manager;
  • Contributing to brand planning by identifying, exploring and proposing new digital opportunities for brand exploitation with the YouTube Channel Manager and the Digital Development Executive; and
  • Responsible for completing material and availability rights checks using in-house system.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess basic editing and delivery workflow knowledge. An interest and familiarity with children’s content are preferential.

Knowledge and Skills required:
  • Experience in YouTube video production/video editing;
  • Photoshop and Illustrator (Basic Adobe) experience;
  • Understanding of Final Cut Pro X and Adobe Premiere Pro (ideally Premiere Pro), and working knowledge on Adobe Audition, Adobe Media Encoder;
  • Understanding of editing workflows and file structuring in Premiere Pro and YouTube export pre-sets and encodes;
  • Working knowledge of web-based content management systems (CMS) for digital platforms and Content ID system;
  • Must be skilled and experienced in search engine optimisation techniques (Manual Claiming, Content ID, understanding of YouTube CTA elements);
  • English/French/ German language knowledge; 
  • Understanding and interest in trends and content that engages children and parents; and,
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
