Junior-Level Technician

ACS are actively looking to recruit an enthusiastic, hard-working individual to join our team as a Junior-Level Technician. 

This is a permanent, full-time role, subject to a 3-month probationary period.


ACS is part of Euro Media Group (EMG), Europe’s leading provider of broadcast services, and is one of the world’s leading specialist camera system providers.  


The Role

ACS are actively looking to recruit an enthusiastic, hard-working individual, to join our team as a Junior-Level Technician. This is a permanent, full-time role, subject to a 3-month probationary period.


The successful candidate will be based out of our premises in High Wycombe; there will be scope to travel across the UK, as well as further afield as your experience grows and opportunities present.


Key roles and responsibilities will be a mixture of warehouse as well as field-based activities including, but not limited to:

  • Checking equipment in/out at base.
  • Helping to maintain the warehouse and keep consumables stocked.
  • Working with existing Tech staff and Engineering Department to ensure successful preparation for jobs, and to assist with maintaining equipment.
  • Occasional delivery/collection runs (in ACS vehicles).
  • Forming part of our Tech crew in the field, delivering ACS’ specialist camera services on various events/projects – including operation of remote head systems as required.


Opportunities to take on the Lead Tech role on certain jobs will present in time, as your experience and familiarity with our systems grows. Aspects of this further development include liaising with Client Production/Engineering Manager, as well as overseeing a small team of Techs on site for the successful delivery of services.

Candidate Profile

Experience & Skills:

  • Prior experience of the broadcast industry would be advantageous, however strong candidates from different fields with transferable skillsets may also be considered.
  • Practical knowledge of broadcast equipment ideal, including use of remote heads and other specialist equipment; on the job training will however be provided.
  • Practical technical abilities with regards repair of cables, connectors, etc. would be useful.



  • Clean UK driving license - previous experience driving Ford Transit-sized vehicles advantageous, but not crucial.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, whilst also being capable of taking initiative.
  • Ability to work calmly and professionally whilst under pressure.
  • Aptitude for problem solving and the ability to think on your feet/adapt to situations as they arise.
  • The ideal candidate will be of a personable, somewhat outgoing nature, and have good communication skills.


Due to the nature of the work undertaken by ACS, you will be required to travel and, on occasion, spend reasonably extended periods away from home. 

Working over some weekends/Bank Holidays is also an aspect of the Broadcast Industry. You should also be reasonably physically fit.
