Post Production Engineer (Bristol)
We are looking to recruit a Post Production Engineer to join our Bristol team supporting all aspects of our state-of-the-art Post Facilities.

About Us

Evolutions is one of the most successful independent television post production firms in the UK with over 150 edit, audio and grading suites across Central London and Bristol sites  


We create some of the UK's favourite TV programs such as, 24 hours in Policy Custody, The Only Way Is Essex, Tipping Point, Meat the Family, Gardeners’ World, Countryfile, The Crystal Maze to name but a few.


About the Role

We are looking to recruit a Post Production Engineer to join our Bristol team supporting all aspects of our state-of-the-art post production facilities.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Engineering support of all post production areas, including fault-finding, design and installation of post-production and network environments
  • Create and maintain technical documentation of systems
  • Create solutions with efficiency in mind, maximising performance and minimising costs
  • Working with all broadcast codecs, file based, archive, network & cloud technologies
  • Supporting internal and external Clients on projects of any scale
  • Reactive and planned maintenance of existing equipment
  • Design, build and commissioning of Studio & Post Production Facilities.


About You

Essential requirements & skills

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent knowledge of post-production
  • A passion for the latest technologies
  • Demonstrable experience of working in an infrastructure support environment
  • Network support, switches, routers, firewalls
  • Knowledge of formats, codecs and workflows
  • The ability to advise colleagues and clients alike
  • Good technical fault finding and lateral thinking skills, and
  • The ability to work under pressure on projects in and out of house
  • You must be able to thrive working under pressure in a fluid and dynamic environment. 


And knowledge of following will be helpful: 

  • Avid ACSR qualifications
  • Cisco Networking (CCNA) would be an advantage
  • Linux knowledge would be an advantage.
