Merchandising DTC Manager

We are very excited to be expanding our SVOD team. 

As our DTC Merchandising Manager you'll be responsible for the effective management, coordination and implementation of all content curation on our app.


You will be reporting to the Head of DTC. Key measures of success will be driving customer engagement and reducing churn.

About: History Play and Crime + Investigation play are currently available as add-on channels on Amazon Prime Video Channels and Apple TV channels in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, and Italy.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute content merchandising with goals of driving customer engagement and long-term retention
  • Create a comprehensive editorial plan that includes stunts, seasons and innovative ways to engage our customers
  • Ensure that the content plan drives conversion for new and library content, aligns with marketing campaigns and promotional launches.
  • Form strong working relationships key stakeholders and the wider SVOD team, including marketing, operations, picture desk and the B2B team
  • Work closely with the head of digital research to analyze performance and create forecasts
  • Ensure balanced planning is based on customer experience and data analytics to improve conversion rates and content engagement
  • Take an active role in the overall success of the app
  • Remain current with evolving DTC merchandising trends and explore new and effective enhancements that will improve the customer experience and increase engagement.

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience in content curation, driving engagement and retention on a DTC service
  • Good at building business relationships internally and externally with partners
  • Self-starter who is resilient, proactive and able to work independently
  • Passionate about content and customer experience
  • Excellent organization and multitasking skills.
