Role overview
You’ll work in our busy Playout area looking after all the media associated with our broadcast, streaming, DVD and cinema outputs. There will be some editing and file-based management alongside real-time operations of playout channels including the reactive and changing situation of live sport, general technical quality control and coping with unforeseen faults and problems, all calmly whilst possibly feeling some pressure!
You may have experience of broadcast environment, working with typical MAM and Playout systems, maybe not, but you have a feel for the type of organisational and process-orientated skills required for the role, along with an accurate attention to detail.
Once in the role, you’ll check that material for daily Playout schedules is complete and in the correct state for transmission, providing first line fault correction and escalating problems as required. You’ll work closely with On-Air and Programme Planning teams and be completely comfortable in communicating with colleagues at all levels in providing a first-class level of service.
This role is full time, 37.5 hours on shift positions, working over a 7-day fortnight pattern, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays, so you must be prepared for unsociable hours.
