Content Engine Studios Ltd. is an award-winning branded video production agency, primarily creating content for Shell.
With decades of global experience, we specialize in every aspect of the creative and production process. As a one-stop shop, we deliver story-driven and imaginative films tailored to the needs of Shell’s business partners.
From 6-second social media clips to full-length, character-led documentaries, we create high-quality, cost-effective video that inspires and engages.
Our small but vital Post team enables and supports the creation of every video asset we make. In 2025 we’ve delivered around 120 projects, each with multiple assets.
The team operates offline Premiere suites in-house and remotely; a cost-effective online and grading service; and manages IT, edit support, infrastructure and our camera kit room. This is not a hybrid or remote role.
The right candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, Post-Production processes and an understanding of colour grading and onlining with the scope to grow these capabilities.
You will be excited to take charge
of a small team, demonstrate leadership qualities with super clear communication skills and happy to be present in our London Waterloo office 5
days a week to ensure the delivery of our projects.
As Tech Lead & Finishing Editor reporting to a member of CES Management, you will:

- provide colour grading and online services that we’re able to charge for;
- liaise and coordinate with our in-house and freelance editors;
- look after the day-to day operations of the entire technical back end; and,
- ensure our technical systems can continuously meet our project and client requirements.

Your roles and responsibilities include:
- colour grading; onlining;
- the administration
of network, server and workstation infrastructure for on prem and ‘virtual’ edit suites;
- management of SaaS licenses, support contracts and new equipment deployments;
- 1st and 2nd line tech support for on-prem and remote users of the facilities;
- administration of the MAM pipeline – Ingest, transcode, backup, review, delivery;
- deployment of remote capture, directing and editing solutions;
- overseeing stock control and maintenance of camera and lighting kit in the in-house kit room;
- pro-active research and implementation of new and better media production workflows; and,
- managing and mentoring the Technical Assistant and Junior Editor.

- Experience with SAML and LDAP authentication deployment

You’re a dedicated team player and problem solver, who recognises that video production often requires flexibility.
You are organised and proactive, foreseeing and solving problems and seeking to improve our
technical systems so we can better manage multiple competing projects and deliver more efficiently for our clients.
You work effectively in partnership with the other members of our Post team and ensure that the
department’s technical systems support their needs.
You enjoy developing your skills and seek out opportunities to do so, with a particular focus on cost-effective solutions that don’t undermine the company’s ability to deliver.
