Technical Account Executive

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Technical Account Executive to join our thriving team in central London.

You'll provide media software technical support, product demonstration and user training to our clients across the digital media sector.  


BASE Media Cloud, a leading managed cloud services provider for the digital media market, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Technical Account Executive to join our thriving team in central London. 

This role is ideal for a recent entrant to the media services sector with an interest in cutting edge production, post-production and content distribution software tools and workflows, looking to develop a career in the high-growth, cloud-based media services market.  


The successful candidate will provide customer account management, media software technical support, product demonstration and user training to our clients across the digital media sector.  


You will be exposed to a wide variety of modern technologies and exciting challenges, working collaboratively with our in-house engineering and customer support teams, as well as with technology-partner support teams to support end-to-end media workflow cloud solutions for our prestigious list of clients.  


As well as media workflow, customer account management and technical support tasks, you will be working with senior team members on new projects, helping to roll out brand new customer solutions.


You will benefit from gaining skills in the very latest cloud storage and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) technologies that are powering today’s modern media companies and replacing older, legacy hardware-based facilities and services.


Previous work experience in post-production facilities or digital media technology service businesses (eg: Tech Support / Edit or Operations Assistant / MCR support / Post-Production Assistant / Software Support) would be of benefit.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Be an ambassador for BASE Media Cloud, working to build long-term productive relationships with key clients.
  • Provide 1st Line client support, working with our technical support team, engineers and third-party vendor partners.
  • Operate as the main point of contact for assigned customers.
  • Ensure clients receive outstanding quality of service at all times.
  • Communicate client needs effectively across the business.
  • Service multiple clients concurrently, often to strict deadlines. Provide on-site and remote user training to clients, across the full variety of cloud-based media solutions (including Cloud Storage, File Transfer, Transcoding, Media Asset Management, Remote Working and Video Streaming).
  • Perform web-based and on-site platform demonstrations to potential and existing clients.
  • Assist with customer requirements capture and configuration of new cloud-based media solutions.
  • Configure front-end customer user applications including; File Transfer, Cloud Storage, Media Asset Management, Transcoding, Remote Editing, Video Streaming solutions and new emerging media SaaS applications. 
  • Test and check front-end customer user applications and feedback results to engineering and vendor teams.
  • Manage usage reports and daily technical reports creation and submission to the management team.
  • Manage support desk and customer notifications software tools. 
  • Produce and manage customer knowledge base articles and training videos for online support desk portal.
  • Evaluate and test new software products and present findings to senior management.
  • Assist in the project management and on-boarding of new clients.
  • Assist new customers with data migration from on-premises storage to BASE Media Cloud storage services.

Key Experience:

  • At least 1 years’ experience working in a similar role within the media or digital technology sector (or recently qualified graduate with industry work experience and solid technical expertise).
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience of media software and file-based workflows.
  • Formal qualification in media or technology related subject.
