Sales Executive - IMG Replay
We are seeking a Sales Executive to be responsible for the RCS Cycling portfolio, the World Rugby archive, and to explore and develop new business through new sales and new federation/rights representation.
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our IMG Replay department. Reporting to the Vice President of IMG Replay the successful candidate will generate archive revenue and profit from IMG Replay’s world leading, extensive video archive portfolio with focus on our Rights & Clearance service.

They will be responsible for ensuring that IMG Replay provides a world class audiovisual Archive to all our rights holders and license their archive footage and programming. They will act as the account manager for World Rugby Archive, including the flagship Rugby World Cup archive, the RCS Cycling portfolio, including the flagship Giro d’Italia archive. In addition to this they will also be responsible for exploring and developing new business, via new sales and new federation/rights representation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To negotiate all Rugby, Cycling, Rights & Clearance or any content from IMG Replay’s portfolio, license terms for archive footage and programming for EMEA based customers
  • Ensure all pipeline deals are entered on the IMG pre-sales “Torch” App
  • Proactively negotiating archive footage and programme sales to a number of customers including; Broadcasters, Production Companies, Advertising Agencies, Brands, Corporate Clients and Digital publishers
  • Overseeing relationships with key archive customers and building relationships with new archive customers in the UK and EMEA. Face to face interaction is mandatory
  • Work closely with the Replay Digital Content Coordinators (DCC’s) to ensure customers receive their required content efficiently and cost effectively
  • Ensuring all deals are submitted in a structured format and to ensure that customers receive their electronic paperwork (contracts and invoices) in a timely manner from the Sales Team Assistant
  • Help ensure that all customer contracts are fully executed. Also, invoices are paid before their due dates keeping receivables to a minimum
  • Work closely with the IMG Replay Marketing Executive to agree World Rugby and RCS Archive marketing plans and implement throughout the year
  • Managing the day-to-day relationship between IMG Replay and World Rugby. Provide all approval emails, monthly sales report/memo to World Rugby and review the quarterly accounting

  • Learn and become integral part of the London Rights and Clearances (R&C) archive sales operations
  • Attend broadcast specific trade shows to promote the IMG Replay portfolio to new and existing customers
  • Coordinate with Replay Sales Executives in IMG Replay’s satellite offices including, Hong Kong, New York, Tokyo and Sydney to help generate leads/sales
  • Liaising with IMG internal divisions (production, digital, live rights, legal, finance and sponsorship)
  • Retain an awareness of IMG Replay’s competition to assist in enhancing IMG Replay’s global position
  • Use daily and provide software improvements to the IMG/Imagen working group to enhance the website
  • Awareness that IMG Replay is multi-genre (Sport, Fashion, Culinary and Entertainment) and being able to add value in other genres.
  • Responsible for raising the profile Replay both internally and externally
  • You may also be required to carry out any other duties relating to other rights holders which are within the scope and purpose of the role.

About You

The ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience of archive and broadcast sales, growth strategies and have the ability to drive investments. 

The candidate should be able to demonstrate good communication skills, be highly organised, and have an eagerness to deliver against objectives at all times. An interest in sports is highly desirable.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proven track record of solid broadcast sales experience
  • Excellent business development credentials
  • Financially literate, ability to drive investment / growth strategy and create confidence
  • Ability to present at all levels internally and externally
  • Must have an exceptional knowledge of the game Rugby and ideally cycling
  • Archive Sales experience would be preferable.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A team player with the ability to work with commercial staff across the organisation
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Knowledge of affinity with new media content and applications would be preferable
  • Foreign language skills would be advantageous.


  • Degree or equivalent.


  • This is a permanent position based in Chiswick, London
  • Working hours are 9:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday
  • Must be prepared to work additional hours as required to meet deadlines
  • International travel may be required and attendance at trade markets
  • This role will be based at Chiswick Park Office.
