Social Media Producer

Sunset + Vine Productions are looking for a Social Media Producer to work on in its global motor-sport television show, Mobil 1 The Grid (M1TG).

About the Role

The Social Media Producer is primarily responsible for developing and implementing the social and digital strategy for Mobil 1 the Grid (M1TG) across YouTube, twitter, Instagram and mobil1thegrid.com.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the television team to recommend, build and execute social media strategy across relevant platforms
  • Benchmark success, determining key messaging and audience identification
  • Create the M1TG content calendar, publishing schedule, and overseeing the creation, editing and publication of content for across all M1TG digital and social platforms
  • Run outreach programme for wider content distribution to relevant third parties
  • Day-to-day management of the M1TG digital team.  
  • Commissioning written content from key contributors to run on the M1TG website
  • Oversight and moderation of consumer engagement across relevant platforms in line with the moderation policies for each community
  • Capture and analyse social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and compiling reports for both internal use and client presentations
  • Liaise with clients and other agencies to implement wider brand integration and strategy across social and digital platforms.


About You

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Strong editorial judgement combined with broad knowledge of and interest in all forms of global motorsport
  • Strong creative skills allied with strong understanding of social media best practices
  • Experience of managing digital content workflow processes from devising, creating and publishing written, video and image based content across all digital and social platforms
  • Experience of commissioning content from third parties would be advantageous. As would experience of video content creation and cross platform distribution
  • In-depth knowledge of digital best practice, industry trends and evolving functionality that can be used to improve the user experience and M1TG and brand output
  • Knowledge and implication of web analytics, ability to surface, understand, and action what the numbers say
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and understand their requirements for the business while championing digital
  • Ability to manage budgets to agreed levels to deliver cost savings where possible and improve profitability.

  • 5 – 6 month fixed-term contract.
