About the Role

We are seeking two Video Production Assistants to join our small video production team.  Both positions are part time; a two day a week and a three day are available.  The posts would ideally suit candidates who are passionate about creating informative, educational video content, especially about mental health and counselling. The ideal candidate should be personable, friendly and have at least a year’s experience working in a similar role.


As the Video Production Assistant you will:

  • Assist with video shoots by setting up the video production studio and preparing and operating kit
  • Assist and support the producer in the production process and contribute ideas to video productions
  • Arrange and coordinate shoots by liaising with contributors, actors and crew
  • Coordinate the workflow for video projects
  • Edit content, create graphics and prepare videos for online delivery
  • Work cooperatively and proactively with the video production team, monitoring and supporting video projects to completion.


About You

Essential Skills:

  • Experience working with professional standard camcorders or DSLR cameras
  • Knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Photoshop
  • Experience in adding content to YouTube and social media
  • Experience in setting up video shoots, with an understanding of their requirements
  • An understanding of how to produce videos, with experience of production processes
  • Able to manage a large and varied workload
  • Excellent self-management, organisational and project planning skills
  • High attention to detail and strong focus on quality control
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.


Desirable skills:

  • Experience of creating short films or vlogs
  • Experience of lighting
  • Experience of recording sound and using microphones.


Details:

  • These positions are based at the CPCAB offices near Glastonbury, Somerset
  • The salary is £23,022 p.a. pro rata depending on experience.  For the two day a week role the salary is £9,333 p.a., and for three days a week it's £14,000 p.a.
