Sales Assistant
A growing TV distributor is looking for a fantastic sales support candidate to join their team in Barcelona.
  • Help the director achieve sales goals

  • Boost the company's sales business and program formats to increase revenue and profitability in the assigned territories

  • Evaluate and ensure new business opportunities to help boost business growth and development 

  • Make a positive contribution to all meetings (internal and external) in all aspects of the company's sales activities.

PERIOD: 6 months

SCHEDULE: 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Key sales tasks and responsibilities: 
  • Evaluate the contents of the company's catalogue, and prepare sales forecasts for possible new acquisitions 
  • Collect information and market intelligence and keep the company up to date with developments and trends in the international market. 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and stay up to date with their programming requirements, as well as research, identify and explore new business opportunities 

  • Help with the preparation of materials for international markets, carrying out tasks of booking flights, hotels and itineraries 

  • Request meetings and prepare the content of such 

  • Maintain the company's website, adding new titles, and updating existing ones 

  • Manage the company's social networks 

  • Prepare marketing campaigns in MailChimp 

  • Promote and sell finished programs and formats, identify co-production potential and advance sale when appropriate 

  • Negotiate agreements and establish contacts with the legal, financial, materials and marketing departments in the execution of the company's sales strategy. 

  • Write, issue and administer license agreements until complete execution, using the company's rights management system 

  • Actively participate in writing reports on all sales and marketing activities and attend weekly meetings to update sales activity 

  • Maintain the contact database and update the rights management systems to the required deadlines. 

  • Help with the delivery of materials to customers, communicating with the company that handles these tasks.

  • Eager to embrace a creative and practical business environment with the ability to boost sales while creating lasting partnerships with customers
  • A very high level of English is essential. Other languages ​​are an advantage
  • Practical and calm ability to solve problems and challenges.
  • Motivated and entrepreneurial individual, with a proven track record of achieving goals
  • Ability to work under pressure and work in instalments
  • Work well in a team.


  • Demonstrable knowledge of exploitation and rights management.
  • Experience in successfully creating and executing the sales strategy for program and format sales.
  • A network of contacts and relevant clients (this is not essential)
  • Evidence of strategic and commercial project management.
  • Strong interpersonal, pitch and presentation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows (including Excel) and knowledge of media rights databases
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
