About the Role

No two days are ever the same working on our camera floor. It is a very fast paced environment, with tight deadlines and multiple jobs to prep and check-in. Our kit room is a small, friendly yet focused team and you will play a key role in our technical operations.

This role demands attention to detail, a keen interest in camera technology and the ability to work well within a team.

We will provide training to the successful candidate, but it is expected that you will have at least one years experience of working within a rental house (or in a similar technical role) for this position. You will also have the opportunity to progress so that you can develop new skills and experience within our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of camera rental equipment
  • Check-in of equipment that has been returned after a hire
  • Testing, calibration and maintenance of equipment, including firmware updates and minor repairs/servicing.
  • Liaising with our bookings team in order to successfully coordinate a job.
  • Administrative duties, which include collating booking and cross hire forms, reporting damaged and missing items.
  • Providing technical support to customers in-person and via telephone when required.

What We Require From You:

  • At least 1 year's experience working in a kit room or in a similar, technical role (for example, as a camera assistant or in a facilities house).
  • Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all-things camera related. Some knowledge of film lighting equipment would also be advantageous.
  • Good interpersonal skills enabling you to both work successfully within our camera floor team as well as assist our clients and visiting crews.
  • Be highly focused, have great organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • A commitment to providing excellent, customer-focused service at all times.

Details

Our standard working hours are 09:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday but we will sometimes expect you to work outside of these hours, including early/late starts and finishes as well as the occasional weekend shift.

Having a driving licence, whilst not essential would be useful for this role.

Salary for this role is negotiable and subject to skills and experience.
