As a Technical Coordinator, you will be providing front line technical support for internal Staff and Clients.

Over the past 10 years, we’ve completed the post-production on over 100 feature films and television series, including 47 Meters Down, Under the Shadow and McQueen. 

We have recently been acquired by Fulwell 73 and we are now a part of a larger group owned by a ground-breaking global production company.


About the Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing front line technical and engineering support for internal Staff and Clients on a variety of software and hardware platforms including;
    • Particularly Avid but also Adobe CC, DaVinci Resolve, Protools and Baselight
    • Mac, Windows and Linux OS's within an EDITSHARE, IP Storage Environment
    • Remote working platforms
    • Network based file transfers and delivery platforms
  • Maintaining and ensuring daily setup and maintenance of post production suites including their machines and supporting hardware along with display and speaker line-up.
  • Overseeing and updating facility and suite status’ and reporting for management team.
  • Managing and maintaining software installations, their accounts and portals, drivers and licensing.
  • Monitoring and supporting facility services such as  internal streaming & network file transfer systems.
  • Managing incident reporting and support ticketing throughout the facility along with issue resolution planning and escalation within the team as required.
  • Monitoring security procedures, processes and hardware across facility infrastructure including password management and cycling.
  • Monitoring and implementing backup and archive processes as defined by the technology team
  • Conducting system and storage administration including user management and storage assignment.
  • Supporting and assisting in video and audio engineering across a variety of picture and sound infrastructure systems including, Coax SDI cabling, Video over Fibre and Dante audio networks
  • Supporting and assisting in machine room organisation and maintenance.


About You

The Candidate:

  • Candidates will be eager to learn and grow their skills and responsibilities as the company undergoes a substantial expansion with an eye to stepping into a more senior technical position.
  • The role will suite those who are able to innovate and act on initiative.
  • You'll have cultivated a broad understanding of post-production technology and workflow across theatrical, broadcast and online platforms in a range of industry standard software.
  • You’ll have a good understanding of hardware support for machine operations in a Mac, Windows and Linux working environment and troubleshooting skills for equipment.
  • You will have excellent skills in using and supporting Avid, including a deep understanding of Avid technical operations, especially when relating to shared storage systems. Ideally you will have an Avid technical certification, or proof of equivalent experience.
  • You will have experience or a desire to learn a variety of software including Adobe CC, DaVinci Resolve, Protools and Baselight.
  • You will have a hunger to learn and develop your skills in a rapidly changing industry, whilst engaged at a busy post facility.  
  • You will also be keen to help drive working practice and help support the facilities related systems and your co-workers as a team.


Skills Outline:

  • Proven track record of front-line technical support with suitable organisational and amiability for working with staff and clients.
  • 1 year's experience minimum supporting in a multimedia environment with Avid, DaVinci, Adobe CC and shared storage systems.
  • Experience using and or working with Avid, DaVinici Resolve, Protools and Adobe CC applications.
  • Good understanding of OSX, Windows and Linux, specifically for machine management, building and trouble shooting.
  • Good practical engineering skills including data and AV cable creation and management as well as picture and audio suite maintenance.
  • A good knowledge of practical computer engineering and maintenance is required for workstation upgrades and troubleshooting.
  • An understanding of IP and Fibre Channel networking including IP and DNS firewall configuration
  • Experience with EDITSHARE storage systems and shared storage a benefit
  • Experience in AWS and GCS is of benefit
  • Demonstrate a passion and flare for technology and IT.
