Channel Executive - FTC
Our channel teams are responsible for creating and delivering a multiplatform proposition. 

This role will offer the chance to help shape a significant TV channel and brand, learning about and programming to, an incredibly valuable TV audience.
Purpose of the role

Our channel teams act as editorial selectors: sourcing, choosing and ordering content, with support for the commissioning and acquisitions teams, to ensure each delivers to their individual channel's brand values.

The Channel Executive is responsible for the accurate set up, scheduling and administration of programmes into the broadcast management system WHATS’On. 

The Channel Executive may work across more than one channel depending on size. They also ensure that all our non-linear content is set up accurately and used optimally on our D2C (direct to consumer) and Pay TV services.

In this role you will....

  • Work on one of UKTV’s flagship channel brands
  • Contribute to the performance of that channel brand by working closely with the schedule manager to find fresh editorial ideas and scheduling strategies
  • Be encouraged to get close to the commissioning process – providing invaluable experience for your future career.

We are looking for someone who has/is....

  • Previous work experience within an administrative role within the creative industry
  • A passion for the channel brand and an excellent knowledge of its content
  • A good understanding of linear and non-linear audiences and their viewing habits.


Experience with What'sOn or another broadcast management system is desirable.
