We are currently looking for a new Digital Content Editor to join our team part- time (working two days a week).

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Updating the Pilot Guides homepage once per month
  • Updating the Pilot Productions company homepage once per month
  • Monthly B2C newsletter
  • Monthly B2B newsletter
  • Creating discount bundles/special offers and sending out associated marketing campaigns to push sales
  • Updating blog and article sections with one new piece of feature writing per week
  • Loading new episode and series pages, and updating old ones when necessary
  • Managing all social media platforms for Pilot Guides
  • Mailing out product purchases to all regions outside of North and Latin America
  • Generally ensuring that the website is running smoothly
  • Strategised auditing, updating and optimising of older content.


Web:
  • Content management of all company web properties (B2C website – com, Online Store).
  • Develop and publish TV show deliverables (synopses, destination guides, image galleries, travel blog, presenter bios, images, TV show trailers)
  • Maximise engagement between company’s flagship lifestyle TV shows and its audience and partners via social media channels (Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram)
  • Ensure company brand values, marketing strategy, and revenue targets are supported online
  • Design and copywrite monthly eNewsletters (B2B & B2C)
  • Maintain company CRM database (B2B & B2C)
  • Produce monthly traffic reports for consumer website, social media channels, eNewsletters.
  • Manage contracts and relationships with 3rd party vendors: website hosting, domain name registrars and IT support
  • Job Type: Part-time, Freelance, Ongoing.

Candidate Profile

Key Skills:

  • A thorough understanding of content management systems, especially Wordpress and their use in populating websites with content.
  • Standard use of Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML, Dreamweaver and other graphics/video editing software.
  • Advanced knowledge of web publishing, Metadata, SEO and Google Analytics metrics and content analysis. Crawl & Indexation Strategies, landing page optimization Knowledge of newsletter systems, FTP, web hosting and traffic reporting.
  • Image optimisation using Photoshop, proofreading, copy editing, reformatting, troubleshooting & debugging of errors in digital content, research, ensuring consistent style & tone of voice within all content.
  • Understanding of target audiences and ability to tailor editorial judgement & write "on brand".
  • Experience with email marketing (Mailchimp), and demonstrable understanding of what makes an effective email marketing campaign.
  • Specific experience of social media, with a deep understanding of the best use of social media, how to drive social media strategy, tapping into content and digital advertising.
  • Useful – Google AdWords, PPC and paid social advertising especially Facebook Ads.


Experience:

  • Digital Media: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Content Creation: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Webmaster: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Digital Marketing: 1 year (Preferred).
