THE ROLE

Summary:
This is a junior-level position reporting to senior technical managers, and it may involve working alone or as part of a larger team.

You will provide first line technical and edit support for the workflow and lifecycle of the content in post-production, media backup, ingest and export. 

Ultimately, you will be helping to ensure our projects are fulfilled effectively and efficiently to the technical specification provided.

Specifically, you will:
  • Be responsible for applying technical knowledge and understanding to the post-production process in film, TV and advertising
  • Work with sensitive material, and to specific and varied technical standards within time-limited deadlines
  • Assess the quality of content and carry out corrective measures where possible
  • Analyse source material/content and interpret and apply technical specifications to it.

The role will entail interaction with creative colleagues in editing, visual effects or production teams, as well as clients. 

Details:
  • The role may involve shift work or working other unusual hours
  • The position will be offered on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract
  • This is a paid apprenticeship. 
  • Please note, if you have a degree related to Media, or Film or TV you will not be eligible for this apprenticeship under the terms of our sponsorship arrangement.

ABOUT YOU

With solid educational qualifications, you must be able to demonstrate a strong interest in developing a career in post-production.

You must have an eye for the creative processes in post-production such as editing, audio mixing and colour grading.

An understanding of current digital file-based workflows as well as legacy media will be a distinct advantage.
