Electronic Support Assistant
Motion Picture Solutions are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Electronic Support Assistant to join our team.

You will work directly with our internal teams to ensure that all work is delivered to the highest standards.

JOB PURPOSE
The Electronic Support Assistant will assist the Electronic Support Lead and Distribution team in supporting the all areas of Electronic sends, providing 1st and 2nd line support to the exhibitors and distributors requiring both technical troubleshooting and content management for DCP delivery and Live Events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of a member of staff at MPS may change over time according to the development need of the department and the individual. In general, an Electronic Support Assistant can expect to undertake the following:

Gofilex Portal Support
  • Monitoring the Gofilex portal and providing outbound 2nd and 3rd line support for any sites presenting issues such as offline, daemons, TMS, etc. Keeping offline sites to a minimum of 5%. 

Event Support
  • Providing Event management for exhibition and providing support to the projectionists during live shows to fulfil obligations towards MPS’ clients. Working with Omnex/ Gofilex to support new AV equipment for our joint customers.

Electronic Transfers
  • Supporting Asset Management team with 2nd and 3rd line support on electronic sends and assisting with release plans to ensure a ‘no black screen’ policy and efficient delivery.

Technical Assistance
  • Assisting the Technical lead with 1st line technical support and administration so that all cinemas are responded to within 2 hours

Maintenance
  • Monitoring all of the LANsat hardware ensuring that any faults are dealt with, within the SLA. Maintain a minimum of 95% of site online at any given time.

  • Positive attitude and hard-working
  • Willingness to learn.

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS
- Experience working with ISP's
- Experience in the film industry
- Flexible to work outside of regular working hours

Essential Requirements are those, without which, a candidate would not be able to do the job. Desirable Requirements are those which would be useful for the post holder to possess and will be considered when more than one applicant meets the essential requirements.
