OVERVIEW
The Marketing Manager will possess a genuine love of film, the cinema industry and will have gained end-to-end campaign experience from a fast-moving retail, hospitality, event management or specialist marketing agency. Self-driven, commercial and a natural communicator, the Marketing Manager will be flexible, hardworking with a strong focus on ROI. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a dynamic, fast paced environment and have the ability to manage multiple projects.


The Marketing Manager will develop and implement Regent Street Cinema’s overarching marketing strategy which deliver against commercial, guest-service and brand KPIs. The role requires the Marketing Manager to engage new audiences and reposition the cinema brand, as well as attract the University of Westminster staff and student community to enrichen their university experience.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. As part of the Regent Street Cinema management team the successful candidate will be responsible for the design and execution of RSC’s overarching Marketing Strategy - eg all digital marketing campaigns including the weekly newsletter, Google Ads, partnership management and paid social media campaigns.
  2. Manage the CMS website on a day-to-day basis including its search functionality. Management of Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
  3. Line management of the community manager to engage with fan communities and reach the right audiences efficiently and effectively. Identify and build relationships with local press outlets and influencers to support the venue.
  4. Engage, manage, and build relationships with brands, film distributors, partners, and external agencies to align and amplify our plans.
  5. Bring together commercial and arts/culture partnerships that will benefit the cinema from a reputation and profit perspective.
  6. Undertake audience research projects eg website conversion rate (to purchase), focus groups and surveys to ensure we are serving our local community, developing new audiences and measuring ROI on marketing and partnership initiatives.
  7. Manage the cinema’s Membership scheme by actively driving new member subscriptions, and ensuring members receive competitive benefits from their membership.
  8. Create, manage and analyse bespoke marketing campaigns to engage with our local communities to find new audiences and attract them to the cinema and join our mailing list.
  9. Responsible for all management of all agreed marketing budgets and spend. Raise purchase order requisitions for marketing spend and costs.
  10. Regularly present to the Regent Street Cinema board, shining a light on all marketing activity and ROI.
  11. Close liaison with colleagues in marketing and PR across the University of Westminster to provide coherent set of messages to grow university engagement.
  12. Building effective stakeholder relationships across a broad range of groups, which include professional cinema marketers. Represent Regent Street Cinema at events and providing specialist inputs as a member of relevant marketing groups and other committees as appropriate.
  13. Undertake any other duties as appropriate within their competence, as required by senior management from time to time, to ensure the successful operation of the Regent Street Cinema.
