QC & Mastering Specialist
Awarding winning Post Production facility halo are looking for an experienced QC and Mastering Operator to join it's amazing team. 

Looking for a positive, pragmatic individual and training given.

4 day week could be considered for right candidate.


The job holder will form part of the Picture Operations Team and will work closely with the Production, creative and operational areas to deliver halo projects to the highest standard.


Primary responsibility will be to oversee and be accountable for the Quality Control of deliverable materials. On a day-to-day basis the job holder will work in a QC suite assessing the quality of the materials and producing accurate reporting of any concerns or issues. The role will also involve Mastering and all Finishing responsibilities with full training given.

Key responsibilities:

  • QC material and report back to the Production and Creative teams
  • Mastering a full range of deliverables, from HD AS11s to HDR platform packages
  • Working closely with the other operation teams to ensure final delivery of content is on time and correct
  • Responsible for final sign off of all deliverables, making sure they adhere to the respective specifications
  • Communicate to the wider QC and Mastering team on all working projects and maintain reporting system
  • Work with operational leads, producers and clients to maintain and drive internal process, documentation and effective workflows
  • Work with other operational areas to train and develop junior staff.


Knowledge and Experience:

  • At least 2 years’ experience within a Post Production, Broadcast or Content Services facility
  • Experience in a professional QC and Mastering environment
  • Familiar in creating and reviewing IMF and DCP deliverables an advantage
  • Ideally have experience with Avid, Resolve & Transcoder (or similar mastering tool)
  • UHD / HDR (particularly Dolby Vision) experience preferred
  • Bring a positive, can-do, pragmatic approach to the role.
