About the Role

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Creation of HD/UHD SDR/HDR broadcast master files – including AS11, ProRes and IMF
  • File validation AQC and eyeball QC ensuring the integrity and quality of final deliverables
  • Interpretation and implementation of Broadcast /VOD technical specifications
  • Upload final deliverables and archive material to various broadcaster platforms inc. Aspera and Media Shuttle
  • Export and upload of viewing files
  • Data management and general housekeeping of archival systems
  • Training of junior-level staff members.


About You

Key Skills & Experience:

  • The successful candidate will have solid MCR experience in an operational role (preferably in broadcast deliverables) with a broad technical skill-set and the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines both alone and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in using Vantage, VidChecker, Colorfront Transkoder and Alchemist to create and check deliverables is required
  • Perform AQC checks for DPP / file deliveries and eyeball QC reviews, accurately input, edit and check metadata and deliver programmes to broadcasters for transmission
  • Knowledge of scheduling and MAM systems, broadcast line playout and an understanding of UHD HDR (PQ/HLG/Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos/5.1 audio) workflows including Amazon/Netflix/Disney deliveries would be preferred
  • Good knowledge and understanding of digital file formats, compression and the various codecs used
  • A good understanding of post-production workflows and best practice
  • Attention to detail and the ability to build good relationships are key.


Please Note:

  • This is a shift based role. The successful candidate will be expected to work some evenings, and the occasional weekend or bank holiday as required.
  • Salary will be commensurate with experience and skill-set.
