Finishing Producer
We are looking for an excellent communicator who can unify creative and production departments to produce and finish the highest quality trailers, TV spots, socials, opening title sequences and creative content.

We are looking for a communicator who can unify creative and production departments to produce and finish the highest quality trailers, TV spots, socials, opening title sequences and creative content. This multitasker will be able to lead, train and inspire the post-production team to achieve the highest quality possible. 

A smart negotiator, you will persuade producers of the creative possibilities and limitations of post, prioritise conflicting demands and inspire a team to work happily. You will have a full working knowledge of the technical aspects of AV finishing.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Managing the overall finishing process for all creative AV delivery materials to clients

  • Directly handling the delivery and QC of all AV assets, in collaboration with project producers.

  • Understanding and advising on the best post production workflows for both Avid and Premiere

  • Working closely with the Heads of Production and Producers to have an overview of all AV jobs in the building and their finishing and delivery deadlines.

  • Creating finishing schedules for AV pieces to ensure we are requesting the necessary materials for clients and are anticipating the needs for the finishing process (including grade, mixing, and online)

  • Scheduling the online and CTA teams to ensure materials are delivered on time with an ability to prioritise according to overall strategic agency requirements. 

  • Building relationships and liaising with external post houses and post production freelancers (e.g. mixers, graders, onliners)

  • Ensuring any client provided spec sheets are understood, and finishing preps are supplied to spec for external client finishes

  • Ensuring our output is of a consistently high standard; being responsible for quality control of all assets leaving the building

  • Being the main point of contact for a client’s technical managers; liaising with post-production supervisors for features and series, ensuring we have the correct materials and best workflow in place.

  • Problem solving, and finding solutions to creative and practical issues that may arise during the post production process

  • Being an expert in technical specs for short form theatrical, broadcast and social edits, and continuing to be a source of knowledge and support for the team

  • Liaising with the Motion Design team on finishing needs for relevant jobs

  • Reviewing Creative Content rushes in tandem with editorial to ensure the footage is to the correct specs.

  • Managing Creative Content workflows between production, Intermission and the client and ensuring we are fulfilling our contractual obligations


Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3+ years experience in post production

  • Understanding of all phases of post-production and associated technologies and specs

  • Demonstrated time management, communication and organisational skills

  • Ability to multi-task, creatively problem-solve and be a force for calm under pressure

  • Adaptable and revels in change

  • Good awareness of Avid or Premiere post production workflows

  • Experience dealing with TV trafficking and clearance bodies is beneficial

  • Experience in short form finishing desirable 

  • Experience in a machine or control room beneficial.
